I have been meaning to write about Art Basel Miami Beach 2008 here since I got back on Monday but I have been neck deep in finals so that will have to wait until Wednesday. I will however post a interesting interview I just happened upon (see above).

Off to Miami
Tomorrow afternoon (or make that THIS afternoon) I am off for another episode of Art Basel madness. If your heading down as well or already there let me know–I plan on not sleeping so I'm sure there will be time to meet up over drinks on the beach. There are a few good guides worth checking out:
critical miami has several posts including a nice photo spread.
and the New York Times has these two articles so far.
Whitney Biennial 2008
Bert Rodriguez,
“As Long As I Can Love You,” pink neon mounted on plexiglas 20" x 22 1/2" x 2 1/2"
“Size of heart determined by bending a neon tube whose length is exactly my height”
Congratulations have to go out to Adler Guerrier and Bert Rodriguez for their inclusion into the 2008 Whitney Biennial.
There is a New York Times article here.
Its interesting some people are calling this “easy nihilist crap” and the show is not even up yet.
